I locked my ipod and cant restore!?

I was dum and jailbroke my ipod then when i uninstalled the cydia i reset it completely thats when it went down hill my ipod is locked when i force it into recovery mode and try to restore it is either says my device isnt eligable to restore or i get error 3014 its a 2g ipod touch running 3.1.3 firmware ive tried everything and im running out of ideas im about to just smash it ive tried going into notepad and into host and changing all that crap and i get nothing i dont know what to do anymore its stuck on the apple screen and i cant restore please help
