The "find on this page" utility in my internet explorer has got corrupted. How to make it OK?

The "find"/"find on this page" utility of internet explorer in my PC has got corrupted. The "find"/"find next" ons etc. have got disabled and am not able to find occurrence of any word in the web page. I have tried to reload internet explorer and even tried to install the latest version of internet explorer but of no use. Consequently, I am compelled to use Netscape Navigator. The find on this page utility of netscape navigator is working well. Can anybody help me in repairing the find utility?
