What are a Canadian student's chances for getting into the Ivy Leagues?
I'm in grade nine right now in a Canadian public school. I have pretty exceptional grades, 95+'s all around except for Physical Education as physical ability is not my forte (not to brag. :P) I'm doing four grade ten courses during the summer so I can jump ahead next year as I plan on having at least 7 AP's on my transcript when I graduate. I also play the piano very seriously and I'm planning on getting my ARCT in Teacher's Pedagogy next year (which is the Canadian "license" to teach piano). Additionally, I also volunteer regularly at a senior's centre and plan on joining every club possible next year. Oh, and apparently me being Asian (Taiwanese) with parents that have not had any higher education than two years of college matters as well according to some of the answers I've seen. I was just wondering, especially from current students at Ivy Leagues, what are my... prospective chances and I know grade 10-12 is the main stuff they look at so what could I do to improve said chances? Anything from sports to extracurriculars to anything I would be willing to do as long as I don't overload myself. Suggestions please?
