Devoutly religious people. why are you so devout?

Look deep inside yourself and give me an honest answer to this hypothetical. If you were born into, for example, a devout moslem family, went to Mosque 5 days a week, prayed and read the Koran--wouldn't you be just as devout a moslem. Wouldn't you be absolutely sure than Allah was the one true God. If you have the guts to answer yes to this, then doesn't that say that religion is more about what you were brought up (moslems and christians i almost would say brainwashed) to believe and not about the actual "truth" of the religion.
